Jared Cochran

About Jared Cochran, PhD

I used to write the exams. Now I help students learn how to master biochemistry to prepare for them.

Biochemistry becomes more manageable when facts stop feeling isolated and begin forming a cohesive knowledge base you can use to tackle the most challenging problems.

From molecular research to one-to-one mentoring.

Before founding CochranLearning.com, Jared served as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Indiana University, led a federally funded research laboratory, and received a Trustees Teaching Award.

His research career includes 24 peer-reviewed publications. His current work as a Medical Director keeps the molecular foundations connected to clinical and pharmaceutical applications.

Prepared, active, and specific.

Sessions begin with clear objectives and invite students to explain, predict, and work through questions. The goal is not to copy an answer—it is to reveal the reasoning well enough that the student can use it independently.

For students who want understanding to hold up under pressure.

Jared works with college, pre-med, and advanced science students who need to organize broad course material, interpret quantitative information, connect pathways, or prepare for application-heavy assessments.
